America struggled to heal after September 11th. Everyone that was in the United States then knows that. Even history books show us how devastating that day was to not only the friends and families of the people lost in the terrorists’ attack however also to every person who lived in America on the time. The majority are concerned that Obama does not think Sept 11th hit the country as hard as it did. Liz Cheney rebukes President Obama for what he claims about the attack.
What did President Obama say?
President Obama put into words his feelings on terrorist attacks, including the September 11th attack. President Obama was quoted by Bob Woodward in his book, “Obama Wars,” saying:
We can absorb a terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, the biggest attack ever… we absorbed it and we are stronger.”
This statement made Dick Cheney’s daughter really mad. His daughter is Liz Cheney.
Now for Cheney’s announcement
Liz Cheney was mad at Obama. This was because of the terror attack statement he made. She felt like America is in danger with Obama in control. He won’t be using all of his power and resources to protect The United States like he should. She called for an explanation from Obama about this.
According to CBS News, she said:
Americans expect our President to…use everyeach tool at his disposal to find, defeat, capture and kill terrorists. We expect him to…make it clear to our adversaries that an attack on the United States will carry devastating consequences. Instead, President Obama is reported to have said, ‘We can absorb a terrorist attack.’ This comment suggests an alarming fatalism on the part of President Obama… The President owes the American people an explanation.
More individuals are interested in a conclusion
Other people are worried about the Obama terror attack comment and hope to have an explanation too. He wanted to know why the U.S. president would not use every little thing he had to stop the terrorist attacks also. There are also individuals just wondering why Obama would make that comment. It seems like he is attempting for making The United States the center of a terrorist attack. Then there is Mitch Marconi. He thinks that everybody is just overreacting to the remark as a result of the joy they get in criticizing the Obama administration with Cheney.
