One more “America’s Got Talent” year has ended. The “America’s Got Talent” final four were a daunting group, packed with talent. There were three singers, Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho, and Prince Poppycock. There was also an incredible dance group, Fighting Gravity. Guest spots from some great entertainers rounded out the last show, with Jewel, Lionel Ritchie, and Donna Summer making the last show a spectacle really worth watching. Many individuals favored Evancho to win, as the 10 year old with titanic pipes was often compared with Susan Boyle. Those notions were disproved, as Michael Grimm was crowned winner.
Last levels of competition one for the ages
The finale for “America’s Got Talent” season five was a great thing to view. It almost always is. The final competitive stage, though, took place two days before it. That is when the contestants put on the last performance for points for the season. Just like “American Idol,” a really good singer-songwriter type with a bluesy, soulful voice is always popular. Prince Poppycock sings pop songs in an operatic fashion, fusing Lady Gaga, Paul Revere and also the Raiders, and Kiss with the makeup and elaborate classical era costumes. Finally, there was Jackie Evancho, the pint size performer with a Godzilla size voice. There was only one act that was not a singer. Fighting Gravity is a dance troupe made up of college students.
Finale has a Grimm setting
The results get revealed on a retrospective and special performance episode, just like “American Idol.”. Piers Morgan pulled no punches on the ending, as outlined by CBS. He buzzed Prince Poppycock, who had been a crowd favorite all year. To be fair, it was just a little one-dimensional. Operatic ballads get old after so long, despite the truth that Jackie Evancho is only 10 years old. That is probably why Michael Grimm won “America’s Got Talent.” Seems like that Fighting Gravity, who’s incredibly talented. Nevertheless, only one year of the show was not won by a performer. Grimm, according to People, plans to purchase his grandparents a house.
Guests steal the program
Just about everyone paired with a great entertainer for the last episode performance. Donna Summer sang with Prince Poppycock, and Lionel Ritchie sang while Fighting Gravity performed. Grimm and Jewel had an amazing duet with “Me and Bobby McGee.” This season wrapped up well.
